It’s All Concerning the Backstory.
You might have a narrative, don’t you?

Hardly ever, when asking this to college students, seminar attendees, and shoppers, do I not instantly see a twinkle of their eye. That non-verbal communication is saying issues like:

One story stands out.
There was a pair who wore the identical T-shirts daily of the cruise, like youngsters courting in highschool. His spouse, a gentile black girl in her early seventy’s was a doctor and this was his first marriage.
The backstory: They met on match.com.

Tales, particularly private tales,
are used to reveal, make clear, and emphasize
factors in your presentation.
Everybody has them.

Tales about:

  • Overcoming obstacles.
    • Bodily, psychological, or social ones.
      • Who helped you?
      • Who stood in your means?
  • Failures in
    • Training, enterprise, or a private one.
      • What occurred and what was the result?
  • Successes in a
    • Job, group, or a household.
  • Journeys
    • Why did you select to go there at the moment and with these folks?
      • Are you glad you selected that vacation spot and do you suggest it to others?
  • An image, vase, or sculpture in your house.
    • The place did you buy it?
    • Who’re others within the image?
    • Who was with you?
    • Why did you choose this and never a distinct one?
